Seduced by Moonlight begins shortly after the events of A Caress of Twilight. Kurag, Goblin King, is insisting upon proof that Kitto has become sidhe following sex with Merry. She offers an extra month of their alliance for every goblin hybrid she can bring into sidhe magic. During the discussions, Siun, Kitto's nightmarish, spidery former mistress and Rhys worst memory of his experience at the Goblin court appears. It is revealed that Rhys swore blood price on her, because it was Siun that took his eye. In his fear, Kitto accidentally and reflexively uses the Hand of Reaching to open a portal through the mirror. Siun falls through and is trapped half-way, after some negotiation, Kurag allows the Ravens to do what they like. Kitto viciously wounds her and Rhys kills her with a word. It is revealed that Meredith is a vessel for the Goddess Danu when she inadvertently brings the pregnant Maeve Reed back into her god-head, and gives Frost new found god status which he is not comfortable with. The cup or cauldron also reappears after Merry has a dream about it, an effect that has significant impact upon the sidhe who believed it lost forever.
During sex with Merry many of her lovers experience unexpected side-effects:
Rhys is brought back into his god-head,
Frost is brought into his god-head,
Sage is turned into a full-sized sidhe,
Nicca is possessed by Dian Cecht,
Doyle regains his shape-shifting abilities turning into a dog and a horse, plus ones he never had previously.
By the end of the book it is discovered that a spell was used to incite the Queen to murder. The plot was hatched by those amongst the court who feared that a mortal Queen, Merry, would result in the sidhe ceasing to exist.

We start book 3 in the Meredith Gentry series and quite a lot of negotiating happens between Merry and the king of the Goblins, Kurag. The two have decided to allow other part sidhe goblins to come and bed Merry in the hopes of awakening their sidhe magic side. It seems Merry has quite the unusual ability about her that awakens powers in others as well as having literally pulled something through her dream. Her powers continue to grow throughout this book and before long she has made a return visit to faerie. An attempt is made on her life and a spell has bewitched the queen leading to a very tense and bloody scene. The perpetrators are discovered and taken care of and the story ends in a decently good note. This series is really enjoyable so far!

Merry and her lovers get into some interesting situations in this book. Merry discovers she is a vessel for a specific power, and she is able to do all manner of things during sex. Doyle, Rhys, and Frost regain powers they had not had in ages. Merry's Aunt has an insane spell. We meet several new characters and learn about them. A mystery is solved. Overall an interesting book.
2020 re-read: Okay yeah, this one is still pretty bad. I think if you removed everything that is recap from the previous books and then removed every very, very long description of what people are wearing or what they look like, you'd have approximately 25% or maybe 33% of this book left. I'm not exaggerating, the repetition and fashion vomit is really that much of the book.

I think this book is where I started to drift off. This is where each book starts only spanning a day or a few hours at most and that's just dragging out this plot. I also think that reading this as I'm older has definitely changed my views of Merry.
So what's going on? Merry is still trying to get pregnant but it's not happening fast enough so her aunt decides to pimp her out some more by assigning more men to her entourage. Here we go again with the too many characters to care about. This is where we start losing the men as individuals and they just all become part of the herd. With so many characters, personalities get lost and so do my feelings. I will never understand why Hamilton just throws mass characters at us every book and then expects us to care what happens to them. You need to develop characters before readers will care!
Anyway...
I will say that I liked watching Merry settle more into her power and I also liked watching how her power affected the others and the faerie lands. The magic and the history of the lands is very fascinating and seeing how it reacts to Merry and what this means keeps me reading. I also want the showdown between her and Cel - and how her visit to the Seelie Court goes. I know that I've read 8 out of the 9 books, but I really don't remember much - just that everything drags.
I just wish that Merry's sexuality was something she chose to use and not something to be used against her. She's basically a bonefide sperm bank who's being pimped out to the court for the queens pleasure. And that gets a little frustrating to read.
