I když mám Laurell K. Hamilton ráda, tak prostě musím přiznat, že těch popisů je tady až moc. Ale jinak je to podle mě zatím nelepší díl. Sice jen o trošku, ale je to tak.

The third in the series is less about the plot and more about the intrigue that is just par for the course along with sexual interludes every couple of pages. Hamilton has come up with a really good idea for a series, two Sidhe courts; one light, the other dark, a mad King wielding unspeakable power and a Queen whose favourite past-time is torture. It's just a shame that it telling this story Hamilton drags out every mystery and potentially fascinating plot point as far as it will go and fills in the intervening pages with sex between Meredith and various gorgeous men. As much as I'm enjoying these books whats keeping me reading is the political machinations and various twists. Personally I would prefer if Hamilton gave a bit more of that part of the story and a little less of the sex.

I was pretty sure this would be the last for me in this series, but when it gets into the meat of the story, it's actually interesting. I may try the 4th.

This is Laurell K. Hamilton's third book in the Meredith Gentry series. I'm burning my way through this series one right after the other. It's a good series but most definitely not for everyone.
It was a slow start to this book took me a little while to get into it I kept puting it down, but I have to admit Merry does intrigue me and the ending was great left me wanting to read more. I loved it. I just wonder what will happen to poor Merry when Cel gets out.
Not the best book I've read, struggled during the middle chapters but flew through the last five or so.
