AHHH, OK, so I loved this. Alice is writing such great paranormal groups these days - I love her VRC and I ADORE Winsford shifters to bits, and this was just great! Magic, demons, different magical users, having to work with human cops, and ensuring plenty of hilarity ensues.
I loved Havoc and Miles together, and talk about a slow burn - these two have been bound together for hundreds of years but never went further than friendship, despite them both clearly wanting the other.
I loved their friends and all of the other characters. I loved Iya and Sam, I adored Bodart? The forest protector (sorry yall - I listened to the audio so I have zero close how everyone's names are spelled LOL)
Greg - as per usual - kills it. His books by Alice have become some of my favorites of his, he gets to just have such sass and asshole-ish-ness and still be hella sexy LOL

Brilliant!
I absolutely loved this book! Miles and Havoc are a riot. This is a unique story of demons, mages, and other magical beings, coexisting with humans. There is a lot of snarky humour, banter and suspense. The end may have been a tad rushed, but I'll chalk that down to the author wanting to get a start on the next adventures of Miles and Havoc (hint, hint) đ

[3.5] Alice Wintersâs iconic comedic, snarky, and playful banter strikes again! A fun read when youâre looking for some laughs
Funny and engaging
Well written, well edited, and a laugh a minute. Great characters, great love scenes, and great side characters. Worth every penny!

Enemies to Lovers single point of view
Standalone but there must be a sequel coming
For the last 300 years, Havoc and Miles have had the contentious relationship of master mage and demon. When a severe injury forces Miles into recuperating and Havoc into protecting him, things start to change. With something killing powerful Mages all over the region, their time may be running out.
I liked the world and the characters, I just wanted more of the development of their relationships vs the battle with the killer.

banter was immature and childish. Also sometimes felt misogynistic and slut shame-y. Banter was also fucking NEVER ENDING OMFG ITS LITERALLY LIKE A MARVEL MOVIE ATP
Laughter guaranteed
Strong and captivating beginning in 'Happy Endings' you get sucked right into the world Winters builds. A mage, a demon and a host of paranormal creatures all trying figure out who has been killing them off and in between Miles and Havoc get it on.
Miles (mage) is instantly likable and intriguing. Havoc (demon) is alikable menace that will puzzle you.
Their relationship has been brewing for hundred's of years and a near death experience shifts their platonic dynamic to a sexual one.
The humor is much more subdued in comparison to Winters other work. I believe this might be her first published work, there are some flaws but honestly I barely noticed because the story was captivating.
