I get it. I understand why it's good. But that doesn't make it enjoyable. The story is about how our beliefs manifest themselves and how eventually we use our beliefs to rationalize what to others is irrational. Or maybe something completely different depending on how you interpret the many descriptive scenes of the sea, coitus, or dad cats. My cup runneth over.

This is the story of a 13 year old boy. When his mum gets involved with a sailor, he and his friends develop a plan. Very disturbing, with touches of earthlings, the catcher in the rye, and the secret history. Not my cup of tea, although the writing was very good and poetic.
