Great addition to the Hunger Games series. Definitely one of those novels that’s gets you to self reflect on yourself and your own society without it feeling like just a purely academic novel.

Quick read just like the originals. I liked learning more about Haymitch as a child and seeing familiar characters again. These stories are gripping but the writing has never been anything to write home about. I thought the post-games section needed more focus and attention, the end felt super rushed.

Omg I’m crying that epilogue both broke me and healed me. This book was a roller coaster, haymitch tried to hard to protect everyone the whole of panem and he couldn’t :( I get it now, I get him and it breaks my heart he went through everything his games were horrible omg and mags and wiress and beetee so many things make sense now and I’m now miserable. Also seeing lucy grays grave??? So she did pass away…? There not enough words to describe this book I need more

ik heb - a la lord of the rings - alle liedjes direct overgeslaan hahaha fuck da maar wel gewoon entertaininggggg verhaal. was invested, alleen moest ze iets minder oude characters proberen intregeren in dit verhaal (en de liefdesscenes vond ik ook een beetje cringe maar 12 year old me would have loved it)
