This book made me feel sad, but not in a relatable way. Just for the author. I really hope Allie gets serious therapy for her poor mental health and to help her deal with sister's suicide. She needed it in her first book but we laughed it off because depictions of her ADHD and funny life stuff seemed funny at the time, including severe depression. However this book just shows that things got worse. And it seems to celebrate being all over the place, as if it's the only way to be. That's a bad message to put out there.
Charming and weird
While not as entertaining as her first book, this was still a solid go. Her artwork amuses. Her topics delightfully random. But I could put the book down easily. That's a 4 star for me.

Made me laugh, made me cry, made me laugh again. Will definitely return to it in the future
Allie Brosh publishing a new book is the only thing redeeming aspect of 2020. just the back cover had me laughing out loud!
I am thankful to writers like Allie Brosh who are brutally honest about their mental health. I spent most of the book thinking: oh gosh-I hope she’s got a great therapist & is she ok?! She’s sure dealt with a lot since she wrote her first book. It makes complete sense that this is so much darker; while a few chapters made me lol the rest just made me concerned.
Book Riot Read Harder Challenge 2021: Read a book that demystifies a common mental illness
This book brought real joy to my weird little soul. I laughed actually-for-real out loud on multiple occasions, and I ended it feeling comforted and seen. Allie Brosh manages to make heavy topics feel lighter via relatable comics and universal human experiences with a dash of the bizarre. I give this five stars and five ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Laughed and cried in equal measure through the whole book. Very much appreciated the last entry.
