Laughed so hard I had to check the monitor to make sure I didn’t wake the baby. Also my husband was teaching zoom class downstairs and was very angry at the fact that I got to read it first and was rubbing it in by laughing so loudly.
Pretty great. It's so nice to read a book like this and say, "Hey! I do that!" and feel a little bit less weird.
I loved this. I love her. I inhaled this much faster than the 1st one, even taking hours to go re-read her Facebook posts again. I loled so many times my roommate had to pick this up.
just, really hilarious and true and sad.

Wonderful and tragic and absurd. I was a big fan of Hyperbole and a Half, and seeing Allie speak so openly about her depression was one of the big influences to help me recognize mine. I wasn't sure if I would be ready to read SaOP, but I knew I had put it off for too long. And once again, Allie hits all of the feels - the death of her sister, anger in relationships, learning to love yourself again, and of course silly stories involving kids (not just Allie) and animals. Clear your evening and prepare a few tissues and a beverage and follow Allie as she relates just how wtf life is.

Hilarious and heartbreaking and honest. Like life.
Pleased this level of weird punched a hole into the mainstream.
So a few years ago I read Allie Brosh's first book; Hyperbole and a Half and it became one of my favourite books. However the second book had been delayed so many times and I was so excited to find that it had been published and I couldn't wait to pick it up!
In this book we have a variety of short stories of funny events and the stories are a combination of text and pictures (a lot of pictures)
As I said above I was really excited to pick up this book because the first book had me crying with laughter. However this one didn't really have the same effect, some of the stories were funny but quite a few of them I just wasn't really sold on.
I really enjoyed the picture element of the book because I think some of them are so funny and they really do add to the story. They break up the text and keep some of the darker stories still light-hearted (or as light-hearted as you can get given the subject matter).
However none of the stories really stood out for me, none of them were laugh out loud funny (which actually happened in the first book) so I was quite disappointed. I still think the book was enjoyable, you can fly through it because the book is mostly made up of little picture clips so don't be put off by the large size.
I will say though out of the two definitely pick up the first book first. This book isn't necessarily bad but I would say if I hadn't have had that experience from the first book then I would have struggled through it. If you have already read the first book and are debating whether to continue I would say yes, just don't go in to this book with as high hopes as I did or else I do think you'll be disappointed. If you've not read the first book then go read that one first (but you don't have to have read the first book to enjoy the stories in this one, they're completely different).
