Still more of the same and still the writing bugs me but overall, I really do like this series. I may even get caught up in it eventually-LOL. I wish Max had been a little less bossy and domineering....his background, I think, would have lead in well to a totally different leading male model but clearly Singh is not interested in variety of what is "hot" in this series.

I liked it more than I thought I was going to. I was worried because in the previous books of the series, the dynamic really works best when you have a changeling as one of the central pair (honestly, psy + changeling is best)... it just feels like without a changeling at the emotional core of the book, I didn't get very tied in.

But Max was largely treated like a changeling (so much so that
SpoilerI seriously expected for us to find out his father was one... but no.
). So it worked.

But more than that, it worked because while the primary couple themselves were ... lukewarm... I lovedthe forward movement on the overall plot. I loved the look into Nikita. I loved the tie-in with Sascha and Lucas (who are still my favorites). I loved the direction things are heading in the Net, and with the Psy Council. And I really can't wait to see where it goes!

This one was just okay, didn’t really take to Max or Sophia and the storyline was a bit boring, I enjoyed the secondary characters more. I’m kinda wanting this series to have a bit of action, more drama and more adventure. You kinda know everyone is always going to be okay, author plays it a bit safe. Saying all that I have enjoyed this series so far and will continue on.
