I love this series and King of Greed did not disappoint. Alessandra has been I love with Dominic for 11 years but when he misses their 10 anniversary she snaps. She is no longer content taking a back seat (and rightfully so) to Dom’s need to conquer the finance world. She now driven to start her own business and re-find herself. Domenic had a rough start in life as he grew up in the foster system with nothing. He’s now king of the finance world but he has a deep fear that one wrong step and he will lose everything. That was until he lost her.

I LOVEEEED THIS BOOK. Ana Huang is amazing i love her books so much. This is so cute i don't really like the second chance trope but i liked it in this book more :)
At times it’s slow and boring. Overall it was disappointing. Knowing it was a marriage in crisis i had expected more groveling and yearning from Dominic, but it felt like he wasn’t even doing the bare minimum at times. And the fact that it took Kai and Dante to tell him what was wrong with the relationship for him to listen and understand Alessandra’s perspective was wild, even after she wanted counseling.
Also him knowing that all the times she was stood up, because of him having to work, might hurt her feelings was appalling because he never once thought to change his ways. Honestly it’s actually crazy that in the 10 years of being married together (maybe around 8 when they start having problems) that all it took was a divorce for Dominic to start acting like a husband (somewhat) instead of finical provider.
It was really just upsetting because there was so much potential that this book and couple had, but it was just lacking in everything.

I read the first two and i liked this one more compared to the two. I liked how she’s not pictured as this mouthy little thing lol and she’s very human & mature compared to the first two heroines (imo)
Tbh the hit man plot is a bit unnecessary but i guess gotta have something ‘dark’ in her storyline lol.

“You’re the only person I’ve ever loved.” I didn’t recognize my voice. It was too raw, too laced with emotions I’d sworn I would never feel. “Even if I didn’t show it. It’s always been you.”
A fresh tear slid down her cheek. “I know.”
But it’s not enough.”
Not enough.
