Jack and Noelle
They were passionate and had chemistry. Noelle was younger, but she was mature. Jack loved her for a long time before he took his opportunity, it was a little unorthodox and underhanded but hey. Truths uncovered and emotions are raw things said and done caused them (more so, Jack) to retreat. Jack and his brothers experienced yua trauma filled childhood. Jack is the oldest and he pretty much looked out for his younger brothers. Sometimes past trauma shows up in adulthood and that’s what took place in this story. I enjoyed their story so much I googled Whiskey Row : )

I listened to this book and I could not get past the narrators. I only made it to chapter 8.
Loved the characters and the premise. What was frustrated and what prevented me from truly enjoying this book was the author's writing style. She used flashbacks as a way of showing what's happened instead of just of just telling us in that moment. Flashbacks from earlier that day or the previous day is 100% unnecessary!!!! It completely took me out of the story. For example a scene where Noelle is opening her front door. Her friend Theo is with her. Jack opens the door and goes off on Theo. Scene moves on to something else. And then Noelle flashbacks to what happened with Jack and Theo. WTF!!!! The author does this in all of her books. It's frustrating as hell. I keep reading them because the characters and plots are good. The flashbacks are pure nonsense.

Strong Great story
The Sullivan brothers were shaped by the murder/ suicide of their mother Moira by their father. With the help of Alexei and Vivian Romankov, and Dr. Kraus, they grew up to be strong, successful independent men, except where it came to love. The legacy their father left on them, almost kept them from finding and keeping true love. That's what happened to each one of the brothers, but especially Jackson. He knew when he first saw Noelle Kramer that she would be his, but the ghost of his father's obsession with his mother kept him at a distance. But, when the chance came to rescue her, he did not hesitant. But he omitted some truths to her and when she found out, he could not take the rejection. He almost lost her but ended up gaining the most happiest time of his life with her forgiveness and love.
His brothers Darby and Casey had their own love interests that were not going as they planned either. The death of Moira also affected the marriage of her best friend and her husband. Vivian, after all these years, still could not forgive "Lexie" for not going to Moira's aid before it was too late. He more than made up for it by helping to raise her sons. But he was still very much in love with his estranged wife and so wanted to reunite with her.
I just loved the relationships the brothers had with each other and their friends of Whiskey Row. Noelle, Sidra, and Avery had a very tight and supportive bond as well. I can't wait to see how the other two brothers get their lady loves now that the oldest and found his HEA.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series. The twist and turns of the plot were enough to make me scratch my head. I just loved the banter between the brothers and their buddies. Also, Noelle and her girlfriends remind me of how most close women are with each other. The author tells an in-depth and eye-opening story of how domestic abuse affects others in a way that lasts a lifetime even long after the abuser is long gone. I'm hoping to see that Jackson's brothers are able to see that they are worthy of love too and get their HEA as well, along with Avery and Sidra.

This is an insanely underrated book, you telling me this book is sleeping here while booktok advertise some wattpad level smut😔?
I'm in LOVE with the family feels of this book. Been a minute since the last book I found where the main characters weren't cut off from a tree. What do u know? ML actually has siblings that he love & care about? He's actually a gentleman & doesn't unnecessarily hate FL's friends? They didn't drag their sexy life a 100 years?
As u can see, the standards were on the ground, but it's so rare to find & in this book, it it was finally met😢.
The only cons I have which are ✨️spoilers✨️:
●I never liked the 3rd act breakup b4 & I never will, but I didn't mind it as much here, since I was to engaged in the story. Still, glad it didn't take them a year to fix that🙌🏽. ●If I was surprised, disappointed, or deja voed at the pregnancy troop thing, I could not tell with that accident at the end🗿.
●men reactions to women they like is quite funny. Wonder if that's an actual issue in life lol.
Aside from how good the book was written, I've liked every one of those characters, & I did like seeing fl's friends povs & get a glimpse of their stories. I'm definitely reading those as well!
This book deserves recognition 👏🏽

I will continue the series. There are a lot of characters but I enjoyed it enough to continue reading. My first book by D.A Young.
