Sidra and her mysterious story is finally I'm my hands! Her story was so so good and it is definitely my second favorite in the series! The trio are brought together again by forces unseen to defeat Sidras brother in-law who wants revenge and something she has been hiding for a very long time. Heartbroken without her husband she struggles to find meaning to any of it, but slowly she starts to appreciate the friends she has and treasure the memories of the time she had with him. It was a very satisfying conclusion to this trilogy that was a five star read for me!

I really enjoyed this series, this 3rd book not as much as the first 2. I read the first 2 as physical books but chose the audiobook version for this. Sadly, the narration of Yvette's voice missed the mark by not using a French accent, in fact a rather annoying one. I had an internal battle not to use that in my rating and knock it to 3*. The story is well worth reading and I know that lower, unfair, rating would have made people balk.

I was so bored. Took forever to get through it. I love perfuming and French witchery, but I just couldn't with this one.

Sidra, Yvette, and Elena are once again caught up in a magical plot where Sidra must *again* assert that she did not kill her husband. This time, however, a powerful jinn is tracking her. Elena's husband has been bewitched and has fallen ill, and this time, if Elena doesn't reach Sidra he may die.

The story fits well within the realm of the first two novels. Here, we focus on Sidra, who I've always found to be a 'spicy' and interesting character. I'd always doubted that she killed her husband (why would she lie about that?) and everything gets wrapped up in this novel. I can't say that I'm 'happy' with the conclusion (when we find out what has happened to Sidra's husband) and I can say that I may be more focused on Elena's story than I am on other characters. Overall, still a fun read, just not as great as perhaps the first two novels.

I loved getting pieces of Elena, Yvette, and Sidra throughout this entire trilogy. So much love for these misfits friends!

This is such a cozy series. The writing style is so pleasantly descriptive. Having listened to the entire series as audiobooks, it made for a great cinematic experience in my head. The narrators were fantastic! I loved all of the characters, the magic, and the attention to detail that kept this series together.

I read the other two books at the end of 2020, but was easily pulled back into the allure of this historical fantasy. I appreciated how everything pulled together and stayed exciting throughout each book. I enjoyed this series very much overall!

Third in the series. I had a few issues with the story and characters. Feel that Sidra was poorly used in the scheme to trap Jamra. Jean Paul was pretty much in the way coming to "protect" Elena. She's a witch! Stay home and tend the vineyard.

Magical

I have throughly enjoyed this series. The many aspects of magic and how they seamlessly blend into evolving civilizations. It's a series that awakens the senses with the writing without being overly flourished. I could not recommend this enough.
