I hope I am able to adequetly express how much I love this series. I was absolutely blown away by the first two books and I was eagerly anticipating this book. It was amazing. So beautifully written, I loved it so much.

My bestie Katie read FOR A LIFETIME a couple days before me and she asked me what percentage I was at and she said I’m at (this) percentage and I need to talk! When I got to a certain point, I checked where I was at and sure enough, I was at (that) percentage and texted her immediately. My heart was in my throat. (No spoilers here!)

This book is stunning. I cried, cringed (wow, 1692 Salem was SO frustrating), cheered, and felt so many more emotions. The Author’s Note was also amazing.

Trust me. Read this series!

This is book three in the TIMELESS series. I do feel they could be read as standalones, because the author does a fantastic job of explaining the marks and the time travel, but you’d have a better appreciation of the story if you read them in order.
I received a Netgalley link from the publisher for tour purposes.

Hope and Grace are two time traveling twins who are trying to survive Salem in 1692 (during the Salem witch trials) so that they can live in their preferred timeline in 1912. There is so much fear in Salem and they could be accused of being witches at any time, especially with their strange time traveling marks on their necks.
1912, in comparison, gives them so much freedom. Hope is allowed to fly airplanes and Grace is a famous journalist helping to shine a light on injustice.

Gabrielle Meyer does such a good job at taking the same premise (time traveling person lives two lifetimes) and making it feel fresh over and over again. I thought I wasn't going to feel suspense during this book, but I ended up flipping through it and reading as fast as I could to make sure that the ending was what I was hoping it would be.

Ah! It’s the third installment of the Timeless series! I was looking forward to this. The time crossing storylines are addictive. So where are we going in history this time? To 1692 Salem, Massachusetts and 1912 New York City.

The author gave us a bit of a twist this time with a duo of twin sisters who are time crossers. So we have two main characters living out two different time periods simultaneously, and each sister had a POV in the book. I liked the concept when I began reading, but I honestly got a little confused reading it at times. (It could’ve just been my brain fog. 🙄)

I was not deterred, though, because I needed to know these events in order to read the next book. I have also learned to trust this author and keep reading because she’s going to start throwing in jaw-dropping moments that are worth the read. And she didn’t disappoint! I was caught off guard, audibly gasped and said, “Noooo!” And just about the time I thought I had grasped time-crossing, there was more to discover.

You will enjoy this book if you’re interested in…

Amazing! A must read book and series.

Grace and Hope are amazing twin sisters that walk through difficult times in their paths. God uses their circumstances to grow them as they learn to trust Him.

Love!

I liked elements of this read (in particular, the 1912 storyline), but didn’t feel like it was up to par with the other two books in the series. The Salem timeline was just too dark for me (though it made for good creepy October/Halloween reading?), and because we get two characters/POVs, neither are fleshed out quite as successfully as in the other two books.

It’s also been just long enough since I read the others, I’m a bit fuzzy on the whole time-crossing element and how it’s not necessarily linear from one generation to the next.
