A despicable and desperate protagonist surrounded by horrible and sad people, doing terrible and embarrassing things. Also, somehow, incredibly relatable.

Bonus points for great observations and discussions on race, class, gender, and performative social media personas. Some of the chapter titles gave me a good laugh as well.

Found it hard to feel engaged as the narrator is so unreliable and somewhat insufferable but couldn't put it down. Maybe would of been better as a series of mini essays?

I liked the writing of this book, the characters were insufferable and didn’t grow at all. But the ideas and analysis the main character did about whiteness, race and class were interesting, I felt her justified rage. A bit unsure about the ending, idk what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting to just end like that. I like it, would recommend.
