A great story about how to be a friend with someone who isn't like you.

A perfectly crafted story with strong, expressive art. I loved Jen Wang's work with The Prince and the Dressmaker, and this book only serves to further showcase her talents as an artist and a storyteller. The story is universal, and I would recommend this to anyone.

I knew I was going to like this after reading The Prince and the Dressmaker but I wasn't expecting all the feels. This just hurt my heart and built it back up all in the space of a few hours. It's a quick read that is inspired by the author's childhood, and it's equal parts adorable and heart-aching. When it's published, definitely pick it up.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an E-ARC.

I love the way Jen Wang draws faces.
