I really enjoyed the Bone Season, although I found the world a little confusing… but it all came together in The Mime Order.

The second book in the series is steady paced with plenty of action and great character development. I’m fully invested in Paige’s story despite not being a fan of the chosen relationship trope.

This book is futuristic with a twist of Victorian London and it really ramped up the political intrigue. The ending was a cliffhanger so straight on to The Song Rising (#3)!

Whoops… another 5 ⭐️ for a book written by Samantha Shannon… I am officially obsessed.
Reading this book a second time was such a delightful experience! Picking up on all the hidden clues that I missed reading it the first time and getting to really see the character growth made it a much better read the second time around! This book is so well written and at times so stressful… I mean those scrimmage chapters will literally have you on the edge of your seat.
The characters and the world building are phenomenal and I cannot recommend this book more highly!
