This was a fun starting over holiday romance that sees Melissa, an American woman recently separated and going through a divorce travelling to the Scottish Highlands when she gets a call about inheriting a house there. Full of a cast of heartwarming secondary characters and a charming lawyer, Colin who turns out to be one of her ex's divorce lawyers. I really enjoyed all the Scottish holiday traditions and the touch of magic. A sweet, feel-good holiday novella and I look forward to reading more about Melissa and Colin in the next book. Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review!

This book was super cute but also very short. I didn’t check the page count before starting and read it in one sitting. While I did get immersived into the Highlands, the romance happened too fast for me. I needed more and hope book 2 will deliver on this, and I do plan to read it!

Short and sweet holiday romance that is set in Scotland, what better place for a snowy Christmas village feel?

This is a darling gem of a book, as cozy and wrapping a plaid around your shoulders while reading next to a fire and sipping a hot cocoa. The atmosphere and pacing of the story were just perfect and I loved meeting all the characters. Would absolutely recommend this book to any one who wants a cozy Christmas time story set in Scotland. It’s delightful

Such a cute cozy romcom! I enjoyed every bit of this holiday book. The story line was great the characters chemistry was amazing! So heartwarming. I recommend if you want an easy read cozy holiday romcom!

Thank you to NetGally for letting me read this book. This book was super cute, even through there was no spice, for a novella it had an amazing plot, great understanding of characters.

Isn't it everyone's dream to find out you inherited a house from an unknown relative in a far away land? Melissa had that become a reality at the perfect time, as her life and marriage falls apart in the US. She packs up her life and decides to head across the Pond to Scotland, land of hunky men in kilts, people who are speaking English (though it's a bit hard to understand) and a magical creature that lives in the Loch. The holidays in Scotland seem like a wonderful idea, but everything doesn't quite go as planned, but thankfully Colin McGregor is there to help. With a little bit of Christmas magic (or maybe it's Nessie), Melissa has the chance to start over in the best way possible. I loved this quick holiday read, and am looking forward to the sequel coming in 2024. This is my honest review from a preview of this book through NetGalley.

Happy publication day and thank you to Netgalley for the chance to review this holiday read! I wasn’t sure we could fit a whole plot, character development and enough emotion into 100 pages. It felt a bit rushed. My biggest criticism is the book could have benefited from being a full length novel. That said, it was a cozy read that prepped me for the tinsel spirit. 3.5/5 stars ⭐️
