I so badly wanted to like this, but the motive was so weak and not really believable that I can’t give this book more than three stars. The characters were fine but many felt two dimensional and not fully flushed out. There were lots of mysteries in this book and “I wonder what the story behind that is” and then you find it out and you’re like “oh. That’s fine I guess.”
It was a fun read but that’s about it.

I did think it was really unique for a thriller to have a main character meet their demise and then see the follow up! Especially in a story like this. I definitely did a big gasp when I got to that part.

Wow!! The twists and turns in this book had me gripped! Couldn’t wait for the evening to come round to grab my book and relax. This is my favourite Claire Douglas book to date, and that’s saying something as I haven’t read a bad one. A must read!!
