This was not my favorite. The idea was really cute, and I love the shifter mate trope. However, there are better short stories that are more accomplished.
The timelines were off and there wasn't enough banter between the two characters for it to be believable or truly entertaining. The spicy scenes were not great either.
Again, really cute idea. Magical bakery, sexy wolf shifter, fated mates. Could be so fun! This just wasn't for me.

All the other reviews were right. I’ve never read a book so rushed in my life. I feel like a got whiplash from how fast it went. Not worth reading which really sucks because this could’ve been a really cute book.
Pacing was bad and confusing. It was unclear when things were happening while switching between point of views. I also found both main characters kind of annoying. He was beyond grumpy constantly accusing her of cursing him with the scones and he never properly grovels about it. She also has bad communication and at one point isn’t able to tell her “best friend” that she doesn’t want a drink because she’s trying to save money.

Really cute and quick read. Kind of wish it was just a little longer so that there would be more relationship building. A couple along plot discrepancies as well that can confuse you if you think about it too hard. It’s fluffy, light story. Meant for a good time, not a long time.
