SUMMARY:
Netti Ellsworth's exhausted. Maybe working overtime to pay for her dream of becoming a nurse wasn't such a great idea. Between school, family, and baking spelled scones, she's falling apart. Until an alpha wolf billionaire walks into the bakery where she works. Conner Abernathy came into Magickal Morsels to find a spelled scone to help him finally close a lucrative deal with a reluctant CEO. He's irritated. Furious, even. The wolf shifter almost doesn't notice the pretty woman behind the counter. But then he takes a bite, and suddenly, she consumes his thoughts. Did she give him a love spell? Because, if so, there are going to be big problems. She'll either ruin his deal or break his heart. The heartwarming novel Spelled Scones transports readers to a small town where a grumpy character and a sunny personality collide, creating a delightful romantic dynamic. With its cozy setting and guaranteed happily ever after, this book is a must-read for romance lovers.

REVIEW:
Spellbound Scones is the first book by Fleur Devillainy that I've read after seeing a TikTok from the author's page talking about this book. This is a novella about Netti an exhausted witch that has dreamed of becoming a nurse though to achieve that dream she works overtime to pay for all the expenses that come with the dream. In comes alpha wolf billionaire Connor on a business trip that leads him to the bakery that Netti works at which he ends up ordering come spelled scones to help him concentrate on his meeting.
Connor and Netti's meet cute was a moment that was a bit funny as she was just closing the bakery for the night when all of a sudden this wolf shifter comes in trying to get a spelled baked good to help him with a meeting.

Things get interesting when Connor picks up his scones and after he takes a bite is consumed with thought of Netti that makes him think she bewitched him. T
he moment that Connor's rental car wouldn't start when he was determined to leave town but started running again when he decided to go back to town to see Netti was hilarious.
I enjoyed reading this cute novella about a grumpy wolf shifter and a sunny witch who seem like opposites find out they are mates after slowly falling in love. Fleur Devillainy delivered a paranormal novella romance that took me to a small town where the humans live openly among the witches, shifters, fae and bringing together a witch and a wolf that never would have met if not for the fate that brought them together.

Overall, it was a super cute, fairly insta-love romance between a witch and a werewolf. It's hard not to have insta-love when we have fated mates involved in the storylines because everything does feel rushed sometimes, but over all I didn't mind it too much.

The world building as a whole made me curious to check out more from this world, when it's written, and more from the author in general.
