Good story about friendship and adventure, pretty creepy in places, which some of the psychological elements had been more explored and less easily resolved.

Quick and a bit creepy read.

This is a wonderful YA book. The characters in the book have invented their own role-playing game that they play, and I so wanted to join in on their collective storytelling experience (even if coming up with stories on my own terrifies me). They made it seem like so much fun (and why I always wanted to play a game of D&D sometime). I highly recommend this book, for it's coming of age story, and loveable characters. It left me wanting to know more, but glad it had the ending it did so I could imagine into their world without actually seeing them grow up.

Well, that was genuinely creepy.
Beautifully written friendship between three not -quite children anymore, who are still coneected enough with fantasy and belief to follow a ghostly story. And a creepy doll.

Not Scarier than Child's play, but Chucky wasn't Terrifying just creepy.

Doll Bones is my first Holly Black solo book. Its a great children's story, though it befuddled me as why it was shelved in YA in my Library, could it be use of "Crap" it was frightening in some aspects The origin of Elanor *Shudders* I have little comment since it was short read and there was little to be taken from it, The ending was a nice touch..okay okay. It was Beautiful and i'm a sucker for Happy Endings. Though i am a little concerned on some of the adults of this book, The strange old man on the bus and the driver. He kept touching them, their hair and they are TWELVE. Anyone else okay with this? This book taught me to also never let go fully of Childhood and imagination and cliche as it sounds, Growing up isn't dying, its a new experience into a fresh life? Never mind. I spent most of my childhood wanting adolescence and now I'm stuck with it until the day i die. Sorry.

Deliciously creepy story. Good for kids who want to freak themselves out but not go to a gory place.

Very good coming of age story! creepy and fun!

Definitely middle grade/early middle school. A good story (and a good narrator), with stock-ish characters and a great adventure. Very original. Nicely tied up at the end.

A sweet, creepy, sad book about friendship and growing up... oh and murder! EEEkkkk!

This is a middle grade book that I read as part of a reading challenge and it was bitter sweet and creepy all at the same time!

Mildly creepy quest story. For some reason, I kept cheering for these kids even though they just kept breaking the law. But the creepiness kept me listening, and I was satisfied by the result. I like how it dealt with the concept of not being able to say something, so you burrow into a lie. Also, PINK-HAIRED LIBRARIAN!
Also also, yet another of the bajillions of books read by Nick Podehl. He is good and all, but every time i pick up an audio book...
