Mildly creepy quest story. For some reason, I kept cheering for these kids even though they just kept breaking the law. But the creepiness kept me listening, and I was satisfied by the result. I like how it dealt with the concept of not being able to say something, so you burrow into a lie. Also, PINK-HAIRED LIBRARIAN!
Also also, yet another of the bajillions of books read by Nick Podehl. He is good and all, but every time i pick up an audio book...

I took up this book, hoping that it would catch me and pull into the story, but it wasn't at all what I expected. Maybe, it was because I was caught up in another book at the moment, but the book seemed very prolonged. The timing seemed a bit off, and the silly romance was a little awkward.

This was a short, sweet adventure with friends tale. Some heartache mixed with how truly fun imagination and quests as a kid can be.

I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this book!
Great read! I recommend to everyone, especially if you enjoyed The Body/Stand By Me

I really wanted it to be terrifying all the way through. Instead, it was about three preteens on the verge of huge changes, and that's so distracting that the terror creeps in unexpectedly and is all the scarier. But I still really, really wanted it to be paranormal-activity-grade horror.
