This is a really important book. A scathing anti-war novel that will haunt me forever. A good book to read for the current state of the world today even though it was written in 1939 originally.

Brutally chilling and emotional read. I’m still thinking about some of the scenes days later and feel both horrified of the narrative and in awe of its near perfect execution. Such a powerful message told in a simple yet striking way. It had me lose and gain hope repeatedly and it captures the unapologetic nature of reality with beautifully human storytelling. It’s a must read, and I wish I would have come across it sooner.

Basically... everyone should read this book. A chilling spotlight on the cruelty of war & the selfish corruption of governments (Capitalist as well as others). This is an account of how Big Brother's insane pursuit at experimentation and drive to sacrifice everyday man for profit and power. l
