A classic book.
My only question is, where does one go to hear rain sound like “dibble dibble dopp” or lightning go “splatt”?

2.4/5. Low rating not because it was bad, but because it is not aimed at me and therefore I really did not get anything from it or enjoyed it. Short and fast read (a given), and it centers around Mr. Brown; a man whom can make many animal noises. Probably fun to read to a child.

Okay, I finally found a Dr. Seuss I like! Raised by a kindergarten teacher, I have been always conscious of how books teach language. I also love rules & grammar! Dr. Seuss therefore has always annoyed me. I don't like the ugly seventies images either. But, I think Hava (a toddler) will like this one.

She also values humor more than I do. So perhaps the silly of Dr. Seuss will outweigh all that bothered me as a child. I'm excited to journey through book culture with her! #cantwait #rebuilding #canihashtagingoodreads

Fantastic book for kids! So imaginative and creative. Easy read that children will find delightful!

Dr. Seuss is always brilliant! His stories and rhymes are fun and entertaining! Some of my all time favorites!! Such a great way to entertain children and get them interested in reading!

My daughter quickly had parts of this memorized so that we could, in a sense, read responsively. I like it because it's short and rhythmic.

Fun for mom, kept the 9th month old entertained. Oliver thought my buzzing sound was very fun :)
Not a new all time fave for either of us, but we enjoy it.

Another fun book that my 5 year old grandson enjoyed. He loved repeating the sounds of the animals.
