Didn't like the writing and the story wasn't moving anywhere.

His was such a cool take on the story and I love how seamless and plausible this story fell into the Cinderella world. Very awesome!

The plot itself has a lot of promise, and I do love what this author was trying to communicate in this work, but it was a struggle for me to get through it. The dialogue is fairly flat and somewhat generic, and the world building and descriptions were incredibly simple. The narrator did an admirable job, but I did have to up the speed because it was far too slow to follow along with. While it wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea, I’m sure there are plenty of people who would love this book.

It was a nice heart warming book, just not my cup of tea. The plot was very easy to predict and there were many things left unanswered. I felt as though the story line as well as the lore had so much to offer. This book could have been truly amazing but just fell short in my opinion. I would have loved to see chapters added to this book to give it the extra time it deserved.

I really really wanted to love this book. It had a lot going for it. An interesting premise, a Cinderella retelling, an LGBTQ+ romance and it's a fantasy. Everything I should be set to love but I didn't. I almost DNFed it in fact around a third of it in.
It was unbelievably boring and paced slow and when the last fifty pages happened they felt extremely rushed and like there wasn't enough buildup. Even the romance lacked to me. I couldn't get on board.
