This was just too long - at first I was intrigued by the family dynamics, but over time it felt like an assignment - "how many more pages" ... I finished it, but won't be recommending it to anyone.

Just  too comprehensive….felt like it needed a bit less detail and meandering. Didn’t love the ending—too tidy or something? Felt very similar to Wellness but not as well done

Did not enjoy this book. So slow and boring... and having the only POV of a miserable and frustrated woman did not help. I did not care about anything that would happen to her. I love a good character study, but with no real plot it was very hard to read.

It took at least 1/2 of the book before I really got into it. It was very slow to start and I couldn’t connect with the main character although I tried!!

The writing is great, but it was not an enjoyable read for me. The main character comes from a deeply dysfunctional family dynamic and tries to forge her own path through marriage and motherhood. She makes questionable choices and hurts people. It just made me feel sad.
