Another excellent mystery by Christie. I always enjoy stories set in stately countryside homes. This one required some focus - there were numerous characters, some with very complex backstories, and the whole tale is steeped in politics. Nevertheless, the characters, particularly Anthony Cade, were animated and likeable. I was also amused by Lord Caterham, and his ardent desire to be left alone. Overall, whilst it was not the easiest story to follow, The Secret of Chimneys makes for a gripping, fast-paced read.

Honestly half of the time I didn't know what was going on because there were so many names apied to different characters that I got lost once in a while, but it was still a fun mystery.
