This isn't exactly the best Sherlock Holmes stories. The mystery was okay, but I feel like it could have been shorter. There are large info-dumps and scenes in which literally nothing happens. It's like Doyle was trying to meet a certain number of words. There's, of course, the racism that you might expect for a book written in the XIX century.

The romance felt rushed. Watson and Mary knew each other for less than a week before getting married. Sherlock himself has more anti-hero vibes in this novel than in others, but I don't mind.

I do enjoy a good mystery, but I didn't feel like this one was very good (the 1st in this series was excellent!). I wish there was more interaction with Watson and Holmes and less rambly monologue from everyone. It was also pretty racist? So that made it harder to read. I'm still looking forward to reading the others and hope I enjoy them more!

Jujur kurang tertarik sama ide ceritanya, tapi bukan karena jelek, cuma ada yg lebih bagus aja wkwk Ceritanya tentang rebutan harta karun gitu sih, dan sebelum re-read, aku sama sekali lupa tentang ceritanya, yg berarti ceritanya ga seberapa berkesan buat aku
