If it’s going to be this slow, it needs to make me care just a little bit for at least one character. Can’t get me interested in anyone, even a little bit, for 150 pages, I’m out.

Books find you, touch you and change you forever. Thank you George Eliot for writing what I think is one of the best and most perfect book of all time. I am forever grateful.

I'm glad I was reading this with a group. I didn't think I would have enjoyed it if it was just me. However, as a group read, it really have me a chance to dig into the text and I really enjoyed it!

Hard read…haven’t barely made any progress. On hold for now, will surely pick up again in the future.

I started this book but just couldn't get through it. I think it will go on the back burner until winter time. Summer needs something a bit more lively.

I put off reading this for SO long because I was worried it would be 900 pages too long. No. I would read more of this, actually. This book feels quite genius, actually. They could never make me hate Dorothea. They could never make me hate anything about this. The only reason this sits at 4 stars is because I'll admit there is a lot about who is marrying who, who wants to marry who, etc., and that's just not my favorite sort of plot.
