The quality of the relationships and interactions described in this book is incredible. In particular, I have never read a book in which the women were as varied, interesting, full, sympathetic, and frankly numerous. I deeply enjoyed the carefully woven story.

Absolutely amazing soap opera of a book, full of pretty much every human emotion there is, with a vast of thousands, a historical sweep and a keen eye for human psychology. Why did I wait so long to read the thing?
