I liked the concept of the Vitek company, but honestly, I think I would have enjoyed it more in a full-length novel. This just felt way too short and it kind of lost me near the end.

Slow start. Really well written and narration is superb
3.5 - My fourth read from the Forward Collection. Interesting and not-unrealistic plot for the probable near future about nature vs nurture and genetic engineering. I can see what the author was trying to do with the chapters, but the last bit of the story left way too many unanswered questions for me, and brought up seemingly random (though super intriguing) ideas that never came to fruition.
I was really liking this story and then the 2/3 mark hit and I was no longer liking this story. The author had a vision for how the ending should go and it wasn’t a good one.
