Had to read this for a project I'm doing and, sure, it took a while to get into but overall I thought it was a pretty interesting novel. I quite like Faulkner's narration style and how the events of the story were told from a variety of different levels of education - though, it was a challenge with those like Vardaman and the general spelling errors which I assume are to make it sound more southern when spoken. But some of the scenes I was totally engrossed in and I really liked that none of the characters were really good. Addie was very interesting too, with her take on motherhood. I was a bit sad about the ending but honestly I just wished they focused more on the different dynamics between the siblings (which wouldn't really add to the plot but for me I would have enjoyed it more).

I know this is supposed to be a classic, but I couldn’t finish it. The stream of consciousness was no fun and super confusing. I usually enjoy classic literature and don’t give up easily, (I was even an English major in college) but couldn’t do this one.
