I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK. The characters were so well written and three dimensional. Every time I thought Elsa or Loretta were going to choose a path or do something it always turned out the complete opposite. The story and plot were interesting, and I loved the year jumps and migration aspects from Texas to California. This made me want to do more research into the dust bowl and the social impacts it had. 10/10 would read another Kristin Hannah book again ALSO THE END MADE ME CRY.

This book was incredible. The themes of love and resilience were inspiring and it showed that you should always stand up for what you believe in.
