Well. I’m going to need a minute after this one. My first book by this author. Not my typical read, as I usually stick to thrillers/horror. This was a powerful story, beautifully written, with amazing female characters. I knew so little about this part of history prior to reading this book, which made it even more interesting to me. I cried multiple times while reading and felt so drawn into this story that I didn’t want it to end. I wish I could better express how much I loved it, but there are still tears in my eyes. Just read this book.
