THIS BOOK IS SOOO CUTE. The art is beautiful, the story is sweet and breaks down some very complex things (the truth that it's okay to be wrong about gender so long as you adjust) in an easy to understand way. I wish there had been a book like this when I was a child. I might've realized that I am a trans big brother sooner.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a really touching read of self-discovery and family growth. As well as understanding that there is no way to plan everything out perfectly. That we all try our best and that at the end of the day what is most important is if we love each other and make space for people to be their authentic selves. Truly heartwarming!

Re-reading as this book as it is being challenged at the library where I work. As a friend of mine said, “Why do people have to be so narrow?l

An incredibly sweet book that I’m so glad that the coming generations can grow up with.

REALLY adorable and sweet book about a trans boy of color. Support LGBTQ authors and artists of color!!!

Transgender. Family. Informative.

Story: Aidan, who is not a girl, prepares to be a big brother when his mother is expecting.

Language: Brightly colored and filled with important language, this is a modern book.

Characters: Aidan is not a girl. His parents are supportive. A new baby is on its way.

As a reader, I would have been more interested in Aidan's personal transition story, but the book does what it says on the tin and focuses on their becoming a big brother. Not being transgender, I couldn't get into the book completely, but I think its great that there are books like this for the transgender community and families.

THIS is the book. A beautiful and empowering story of identity. What we've been needing in our schools. The one that is going to thoughtfully, lovingly, and honestly help our kids better understand transgender kids they hear about, encounter, or know. I urge you to order this picture book and share it with all kids in your life.

Aidan's parents thought he was a girl when he was born, so now that he's going to be a big brother, he's thinking carefully about how to welcome his new sibling. So sweet.

I wish I’d have had this book when I was little, it was really helpful to me even as a 25 year old. I think anyone of any age can get something important out of it.
