25 years later and this book is still incredibly relevant and impactful. So often our conversations about reproductive freedom focus on the rights of white women, this book takes the time to deconstruct that focus and detail where the fight has completely ignored or negatively impacted the lives of black women. I wouldn't be exaggerating to say this has been the most influential book I've read this year.

Sad that you’d almost never guess this book was written 25 years ago, still way too on point and not enough change.
