What can I say about this?
It's DARK, the Ashford twins are completely and utterly depraved.
But some part of me was here for it. I could have happily left the spice, incest really isn't something I want to read about but their overall depravity enabled me to understand why they as characters would be that way.
As for the murder, blood and gore, some of the things Iris said in the middle of it all had me giggling.
I will definitely read Dex's story.

2.5 hoursβ¦thatβs how long it took for me to devour this pitch black, taboo romance.
Our Queen, Iris, is like Harley Quinn on steroids, Iβm obsessed with her! Sheβs so theatrical and impulsive, her outfits sound amazing too. The King, Jasper, is more level headed and such a push over for her, but is also so protective - Satan help anyone who even thinks about looking at Iris in the wrong way. I need more about their βpetβ Dex too, our not so gentle giant, so am going to try my best to get hold of Sick Obsession ASAP.
Also loved Mr H and Ms O, Iβd love to know more about them!
This book had everything I LOVE, and if you are a super dark romance lover you need to read this!

This is a dark taboo romance! Check your tw! I devoured this book, I mean come on she had me at the title! Who doesnβt want to read about twisted twins in an asylum?! Iris gave very much Harley Quinn vibes and letβs be honest Jasper definitely had joker vibes. This was insanely good right from the start! The possessiveness was everything! Mine, iykyk! And you want to know!
This was my first book by this author, and I will definitely be trying more.
This book is not for the faint hearted, it is dark, gritty, gory, and absolutely insane. It does delve quite deep into taboo themes, so I would definitely suggest you check trigger warnings before you read, if you have any triggers.
I was hooked from the beginning and absolutely devoured this book.
I really enjoyed the writing style, and I felt like it flowed really well. The main taboo subject is quite easily forgotten about when you are reading it, and there are several spicy scenes in the story.
Told from mainly 2 different POV and mainly the same timeline, apart from the prologue, which gives you the background information needed and then the epilogue.

The Ashford Twins story will leave you questioning your own feels that's for sure. If we can side step the fact that they're twins who f*** which this story makes you do... their reasons behind their murderous antics, make all the sense in the world.
