I’ve been having a hard time reading this series. It’s not that it’s bad because it’s good. But it’s so much world building like soooo much. We are 4 books in and it just won’t stop. I loved assassins blade it is my #1 so far in this series and I wish that book just kept going I’m not sure if I would have liked the series more if I waited to read assassins blade till after this book. This book doesn’t just spoil assassins blade it kinda tells you it all. so I’m kinda glad I read it first. But yeah I wish this series was more witty ? More lighthearted? More funny ? It’s just so heavy emotionally for all the pov’s for the whole book.

Okay so this book was absolutely amazing. The plot was so good, and I genuinely loved this book. Celaena has grown so much, and I love her. Rowan.. he was an asshole at the beginning of the book, and as it went on, I grew to love him. Him and Celaena are absolutely adorable, and I love them so much. I miss her and Chaol, though. I loved Dorian and Sorcha so much. He was so happy with her, and my heart genuinely hurts now. I have never hated a fictional character more than I hate the king. Maeve is horrible, too. I feel like Rowan’s friends will be more interesting in the later books. Also, I really like Manon. She seems like she’ll be interesting, and I’m excited to see where her story goes. Overall, I rate this book 5/5 stars, and I’ll definitely read it again.
