the concept is so heart touching and cute

Oh, this was just a lovely story. The artwork was very well done. The awkwardness and struggle that was Victor was showcased in a way that make him utterly lovable. The connection he made with Marie was slow and subtle. The love he grows for her, even though he knows he may lose her, was absolutely heartbreaking. I want to read the book that this was based off of now!

Victor isn't a very good student, this changes when he meets Mary-Jo, a brilliant student that helps with with homework and stuff. But Mary-Jo's sight is getting worse, and with that, her career as a cellist is in danger.

I was drawn to this book because of its beautiful cover. The art is amazing, very pretty and flowy. I liked when the artist drew some elements of the panels with a white line to give the impression of the thing (I don't know if this makes sense). The colours and character design are also super good.
However, I found the comic very melodramatic, a lot of things happens in a few pages and everything feels a little rushed. There's a conflict between the two protagonists at the middle that's just not good. Also I don't know about the disability plot, I think it's a little condescending.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a beautiful story of friendship and love. Everything about this, the color palette, characters, and illustrations were lovely and soft. I loved the disability rep as well, it felt authentic.

The artwork was beautiful and the story was magnificent. This was an absolute triumph of a graphic novel. It was so heartwarming and sweet.

First of all I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for giving me access to the book.

Music lovers this one is for you.
This little graphic novel is really sweet. We see these two characters that come together and end up forming a bond that helps them both achieve what they most wish in life and it's sweet and heart-warming. It's short but it's all that is really needed to get to know them, see progress in them and follow them in an important part of their lives.

“You let me borrow your dream, I’ll never forget it”

Thank you Europe Comics and NetGalley for the arc!

My Heart in Braille follows two teenagers who help each other navigate their struggles. Victor struggles to stay out of trouble at school and wishes he could learn things the way everyone else can. Marie is dealing with the knowledge that her degenerative eye condition will take her sight much sooner than she anticipated.

This is a really sweet story told through absolutely gorgeous illustrations.

I did feel that many of the characters were brought in just to be mean and didn’t really add much to the plot, and I feel like some of the gaps in time felt a bit too jarring and that I was missing some of the narrative.

Overall it was a cute read. Thank you again for the arc!

A huge thank you to NetGalley, Joris Chamblain, Anne-Lise Nalin, and Europe Comics for an eARC of this graphic novel!
