A window into womens sports through very well written stories - to the point that I found myself, someone who doesn't particularly care about running, at the edge of my seat for not only the races but also the author's journey. Fleshman seems to write with great honesty and humility, both refreshing without being over-the-top, and weaves in informative pieces that add depth and important context for her stories.

A look into a world I never considered. The struggles that come with a woman's body are universal though and this book made me feel a sense of community even with people who are way beyond my own physical abi ities.

I highly suggest for any person who pushes the self physically, and it's a good read even if you can't relate to the athleticism, like me.

Women are badass athletes but the system isn’t designed for us to succeed. Really interesting perspective from one of the badass athletes.

I enjoyed this book and the insight it gave me to women’s running (esp as an amateur athlete myself). I loved the framing around the need to re-think training for women’s bodies and wonder how that would look for everyday women.

A really important book for female athletes, coaches and adults who want to make things better for girls and women in sports. Sports gave me so many things, and one of those was a body that felt powerful and capable. But if the adults around young women, aren’t careful, that power can easily be taken away and put in the hands of others.
