Very dense book that inlcudes several concepts and ideas that are hugely beneficial to entrepreneurs and business owners. It includes everything that you can learn in business school simplified to the bare essentials and cuts our any unneeded information.

One of the most insightfull thought provoking and eloquent business and personal growth books I've had the pleasure of reading. The sheer amount of annotations I made was surprising in the end, which by itself highlights the quality of the book. Will definitely come back to it every so often

I really liked this book for two reasons. First, the content itself seemed very thorough and covered a broad range of topics. Second, I love that the topic discussions were followed by recommendations for further reading. He gave what I imagine is a very high level overview of what you would cover in a 2 year program, and specific books and authors to look up for more information on any topic you wanted covered in more depth.

When I started this book and read about how the author felt so strongly that an MBA was a waste of time I almost wanted to stop reading the book. I feel that my MBA program was very valuable to me. That said this book is very, very good. It had succinct, valuable information that is covered in a typical MBA program, in a more consumable package. It also contains great information from fantastic business books and researches that you won't get in an MBA program, but that are incredibly powerful. I will recommend this wholeheartedly others. Well done.

A good, comprehensive discussion of key business topics, however I didn't feel I gained much depth on topics I was already familiar with. Structured in a way that is easy to read and refer to.

For a very long time, I have been longing to enroll in an MBA course. The exorbitant fees that most B-schools charge and my work did not help.

I was looking for a primer as to what happens in these B-schools, how do business grads think differently from normal folks? Is it something really valuable or is it all hype?

So when I chanced upon this book as a GR recommendation I jumped on it and started reading immediately.

Truth be told, I treated this book as a textbook. And I am happy that I did so.

This is a great book for anyone who wants to get a primer on an MBA course. In fact, it also gives a preview of the real-world business world and how it works. The various revenue models, how to evaluate a market, how markets function, revenue maximization, and the works.

What surprises me is that Josh has presented such complex and sophisticated topics in a simple manner that anybody can understand.

For someone who could get intimidated about an MBA course, this is a pacifier. It forms a panoramic view of the business world and gives you the confidence that anything about it can be learned.

Definitely, one reading is not enough. This book needs to be referred to from time to time.

This is a textbook for all everyone who is running a business, wants to run a business or even simply wants to elevate their game in life.

I wish I read Personal MBA, when I was graduating school. It contains so much fundamental things I'd benefit from knowing. E.g. correlation vs causation.

It is so well written that it's exceptionally easy to understand.

It describes business as a machine that makes money. The machine is made of systems that create value, deliver value, market, sell. You put money and effort in, and get more money as output.

Highly recommended.

Great mental models - the one thing this book is missing is case studies of how to apply and combine these mental models in real life.

A good overview on probably the most important concepts in business. It won't grab and hold your attention like a fiction book would maybe but it delivers the information in concise chapters that only deliver the necessary information in a clear comprehensive way.
I enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back to it to read up on concepts as needed.
