This is my first manga ever.
I’m used to superhero comics, so I know it might take a little time to get used to the different style and storytelling.
I really enjoyed the first volume, and now it’s time to see where the journey takes me.

One of the greatest works of fantasy I've come across.

When One Piece is finished, Oda will go down as one of the greats (if he isn't one already).

He is a genius among geniuses. There are others at his level of storytelling, or close to, but they lag behind in consistency of quality and output. They take breaks, they overwork themselves, they write a bad arc or two. Creating on this level for so long seems impossible for everybody except Oda.

He is the perfect storm of talent and hard work.

I would urge anyone to try and read One Piece even if you have never read a manga or a book in your life.
