This was a really lovely little book.

It's unlikely to win any awards, but if you fancy something heartwarming this may well be the book for you.

The characters are well defined and for the most part, believable and easy to empathise with.

I do feel like the story was drawn out a tiny bit too much - the book could have done with being a little shorter, in my opinion.

A real feel good humerous romance story.

Sam needs a date for her best friends upcoming wedding. The perfect date is needed, especially as her ex will be there with his very very pregnant girl friend, the one he cheated with when with Sam.

In comes hired help, the lovely Jake.

Harry is a very special character, loved the bit with Harry and the sporran! Sam’s mum is a hoot too.

Zara Stoneley is one of my favourite authors, have enjoyed all her books and this one didn’t disappoint.

This was definitely not a book I would pick up again, there was no heat to it, very PG. I was waiting for something to happen and it just dragged on until the last chapter. Yes it was a happy ending, arent they all, but it's the chapters in between that does it for me, and this one certainly did not.

This was a fun light read. I totally enjoyed myself while reading it. The book takes a little time to get going but before you know it, it pulls you in. But I did found myself caught up in the story quickly and once I got sucked in I didn't want to stop reading it. It's lighthearted but not daft, emotional but never sappy. There are parts that drag a little (mainly too many looooong scenes with Sam's parents and also some of Sam's inner dialogue could be easily cut back) but that doesn't ruin the overall flow of the story. I sympathised with the main character, Sam and laughed out loud at her mishaps. It's such a feel good book. A great, light hearted and super cute romance.

***I received the ARC for free from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Firstly thank you so much to Zara, HarperImpulse and Rachel from Rachel's Random Resources for letting me tag along on this blog tour and read this awesome book.

Well, as most women will know there is already a film based around this concept but in my opinion it has nothing on this book. It is quirky, full of fun, and laugh out loud moments (yes I did laugh (again!) at the train station and receive funny looks, I think it's becoming a habit now). I loved this book and I seriously think these sorts of books are starting to become a bit of a favourite for me.

The Wedding Date is a lovely quick read and who doesn't love reading about eye candy! I think all us women need a man like Jake, the fact that he loves dogs did it for me I think! His dog Harry, made me laugh the most I think. He did the stupidest of things at the most inopportune moment and it made the book just that much better!

I'm going to have to give this book a 5/5 rating. This book by Zara Stoneley is a debut for me, but I'll definitely be reading more as this was absolutely fantastic!
