I loved this book! I loved Lark and how she was so defiant throughout the entire book! I loved that she didn’t let Cerulean get under her skin too much. I loved that they realized they already knew each other and how they restore that relationship. I love that they end up in love and he is protective of her. I loved the trials and I can’t wait to read her sisters journey.

This was the first book I read on my kindle that I was given for my birthday!
This is book one in the ‘Vicious Faeries’ series.

I LOVED this. It was spicy, fun and I loved the world building. Lark is my potty-mouthed spirit animal!
I will say the ‘trial’ in this is similar to ACOTAR, but it still had a unique feel.
I loved the journey and chemistry of Lark and Cerulean and just everything about this book is awesome!

This series should get more hype!

I give it 1.5 stars because I liked the tension between Lark and Cerulean but I hated the purple prose and confusing scenes. It hurt my head so much to read this book. Definitely not for me.

i picked this book up so many times over the last year and tried to get through it bc i really do believe the storyline was there, but the purple prose in this book is fucking suffocating and i literally had no idea what was going on most of the time. I was constantly having to read and reread every god damn sentence to try and understand and it just took me out of the book completely every single time. i couldn’t suffer through anymore and it really takes a lot for me to DNF. DNFd at 25%.

It's a very smutty book and the author writes in a very slutty way.

This book was interesting enough. The premise is that humans got fed up with the Fae and nearly eradicated the fae as a result, but one human showed compassion and freed the little fae boy she saw in a cage. The story continues off of that notion delving into the history of both characters, a gives you little snippets of the sisters’ that Lark has as well. They all extremely unique children with abnormal hair color and eye color. Lark eventually ends up in Faerie- along with her sisters but they all get separated. This is Lark’s story and once the spice hit it continues on for the rest of the book. I want to know how the other sisters are fairing so I’ll give the other books a read too.

I loved the idea, enjoyed the characters, but the execution just fell flat to me.

Though, I sort of want to read the next one because Puck seems interesting and hot hell. I’m just glutton for punishment
