I’m only into chapter 3 and I had to consider if I should continue reading this! There were too many flowery words and almost incomprehensible purple prose. I’m finding it difficult to follow conversations and understand sentences that should be simple. You know when you’re reading something and you’re not really taking it in….just glossing over the words? That’s what reading this book feels like!

It seems like this author wrote the book normally and then went through with a thesaurus replacing common words with obscure language. Technically the words work but they don’t really fit that well with the meaning of the sentence. I found myself contemplating what the author was trying to convey. It really messes up the flow and is super distracting.

In spite of the extravagant word usage, the story still suffered from too much telling and not enough showing.

It’s a shame because the story is very intriguing! I feel if this was written with more natural storytelling, rather than trying to be super stylistic and obscure, it would be a great read.

* I was sent a eARC from the author to review.

“ It’s morning, time for the rooster to piss everyone off. “

I want to start this off by saying loud and clear.. ENEMIES TO LOVERS. Yes, I said it, this book is a enemies to lovers with a good amount of smut and a lot of giggles from me.
As you can see from the quote I picked out, Lark (our main character) is very snarky and super badass lol I really loved her and her character arc.

This is a story a bought three sisters who find themselves at the mercy of three Fae brothers. They must defeat each of their games separately in order for them all to win and escape. But Larks past haunts her and she can’t stop thinking about a certain Fae.

Kiss the Fae felt like a fairy tale with a adult twist. The way Jaster told this story was * chefs kiss* and had me devouring it for most of the story. I will say, somewhere around the middle, this book slowed down a bit for me but the ending was worth it and I’m so excited to see that the next book will be following Lark’s sister, Juniper, on her adventure through faerie.

This is a enemies to lovers with a good bit of cursing, a little bit of smut and a lot of adventure. Anyone who loves the Fae would appreciate this story and the world Jaster is building up.

I have no words. Oh mutinous Lark, how you’ve captured my heart. I didn’t think i’d be as invested as i was with this one. Hell, i even shed a tear or two...or twenty. It’s action packed, it’s romantic, it’s sexy, it’s beautifully and tastefully written, by the very first sentence you’ll be hooked. I know i was. From start to finish you get everything you didn’t expect and then some. Plus, nothing beats a goof fae related fantasy book. ‘Cause, wingspan
