Now THIS is what I call a thriller. I have exams I should be studying for but instead I couldn’t stop thinking about this book until I finally turned the last page. I HIGHLY recommend you go in blind without reading the blurb of the book or any of the reviews.

The SUSPENSE and grit and downright horror I felt reading this is unmatchable to almost all of the thrillers I’ve ever read.

I have to say I was disappointed at the ending, I wanted a big furious gory final battle to finally FINALLY give the villain of this story what they deserve, but instead it felt rushed and I was surprise when it jumped from climax to epilogue. The ending was disappointing but the cute little epilogue made up for that mostly. Still a 5 star read for me overall because my emotional connection and the addiction I had to finishing this story is something I haven’t felt since reading during my childhood.

It’s a little slow to start but once it kicks off you get absolutely sucked in! There’s a twist you would never have expected either

It has been years since I stayed up late into the night to finish a book – it is 2am and I read the last 100 pages of this in a wild rush. Harrowing stuff, but beautiful

I’ve had such high expectations for this book and overall it’s well written but it’s just not as good as Room by Emma Donoghue. If you’ve read Room, you can give this one a miss as it’s definitely inferior. It lacks something I can’t put it into words but I didn’t believe in the main character and it didn’t have the heart and soul that Room had. Now the evil Lenn, he was really well crafted and felt monstrous and was the reason that I kept reading-definitely a remarkable villain. But our main character- she never felt real to me she just felt like a character in a book. I don’t know it I managed to explain it but if felt it lacking.

The last 100 pages made this impossible to put down. Extremely tense and difficult to read at times but one that will stay with you.
