Good book but I felt like it was a little drawn out and the lack of communication was getting frustrating. I did love the little easter egg in the book that referenced a scene / characters from another C.E. Ricci book, Head Above Water.

This was damn near perfection, I was addicted the entire time reading it. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I hate 3rd act breakups but given aspen’s character, his reaction and the fall out made complete sense, and their split didn’t last very long so I enjoyed that portion being resolved quickly and not being dragged out. Keene and Aspen are one of my favorite book couples to date, absolutely adore them and they’re literally the personification of ride or die. I also loved the little hints of baseball! I will say I think the author’s writing and how it was more framed as a college romance and not a sports romance is what didn’t make me upset about how little depth went into the sport, tbh if they went any deeper it would’ve thrown me off and prolly taken away from the story. Such a good read overall and I can def see myself rereading this :)

I'm not a sports person in real life, but fictional sports and QUEER fictional sports and I am all over it. I binge read them, and this one is no exception.
I had a blast with the boys in this one.

Read this for:
- Baseball romance
- set in college
- they were roommates
- best friends to lovers
- sweet characters
- one kiss is all that it takes
- leaves the reader hopeful for their future 

My full thoughts: Keene and Aspen are best friends, but the latent love between them is palpable. Even with the issues between Keene and his feelings, Aspen is a rock. I cared for the boys and want them to have the best life going forward.
