Ok, so first - all the talk about MMC Adam being excessively big and tall and huge in pretty much every way is true. So...I'm going to disregard all of that and just go ahead and love this book. Apparently I am PRO-reylo fanfic. I loved brooding, grumpy Adam. i loved his work ethic--its ok to have high expectations for your students. He is only expecting the best, even at the expense of being the most hated faculty member. Olive was chipper and the perfect compliment to Adam. And of course they are both nerdy as can be. And both of their friends were fun as well, especially (view spoiler) This was my first Ali Hazelwood read (and fittingly it was her debut book!) and I was testing the waters to find out if I wanted to read more from her, namely Bride which just released. That's going to be a yes from me. Oh, and give me ALL the Reylo fanfic! 💙

The Love Hypothesis is the first book in the trilogy by Ali Hazelwood. The story follows a 26 year old Olive Smith who is a graduate student at Stanford.
She starts fake dating a professor in the science department to convince her best friend that she is over a guy. At first she isn’t sure how she will manage to tolerate the grumpy MMC, Adam Carlsen, but he starts to grow on Olive. The story is really cute and sweet, and all the little things Adam says or does is heartwarming.

4 out of 5 stars!

this story was so cute but i'd give it a 3.5 maybe 4 starts because it was lowkey just so frustrating the whole time & like why they take so long to confess while fake dating like pls hurry?? but anyways i loveeeee ali hazelwood definitely one of the best authors ive read 3 of her books and they were all amazing

It read like a teenage girl’s fantasy. Highly unrealistic and immature.
