I do not understand the hype around this book… 99% of the reviews I’ve seen for this are 4 & 5 stars and I don’t get it. The plot was severely lacking depth, olive was so annoying and immature, the writing was mediocre, the whole story felt like they were actually 10 years younger than they were. It all felt so immature and juvenile. I think dual pov would’ve made it more bearable cause Adam was a better character. And the epilogue sucked, so disappointing. Not sure I’ll go for another Ali hazelwood book. I wanted to understand the hype around this so I read it but I just didn’t. Only finished it so I could write a proper review.

Y'all I slurped this one in a day! It took me back to good ol' Wattpad days. A breezy read that leaves an afterglow. Highly recommend for romance starters!

I loved the writing and the conversations (the banter) And the slow burn was agonizingly good - the fake dating, the forced proximity, the feels ugh! And I'm pretty sure I annotated everything Olive, Adam, Anh, Malcolm & Holden said.

Olive Smith was so relatable, her thoughts made me laugh out! I loved the many sides of her. And don't even get me started on Adam Carlsen, I'm simping over him rn! He is so grumpy yet so caring, and he's so gentle, delicate when it comes to Olive. He's the standard, I'm telling ya ❤️

Verdict: Perfect for a rom-com binge
