This is a sweet book that instills confidence and value in a child, told from a loved one’s point of view. These are words every child needs to hear and believe. As an adoptive parent, I couldn’t help but imagine a child in foster care or a newly adopted child hearing these words… What a wonderful gift of reassurance these words could be.

This is certainly a book that a parent, grandparent or caregiver should read to a child, out loud and often. It mentions the pride a reader feels for having the chance to call that child theirs and the opportunity to love them. Though a tab bit lengthy, it assures children that no matter how they act or what they do, they will always be loved, accepted and enough; that God created them for a purpose, to be who He has made them to be and that they are treasured by Him. That is such a powerful message to impact a young mind. I do wish this story had a bit less "fluff" and more depth as to WHY a child is always enough, with a deeper Biblical message but it is still sweet and we can use it as a jumping-off point to have that more meaningful conversation with our children.

I loved the sweet, darling illustrations with diversity and subtle tones. This book is just beautiful from it’s soft embossed cover and fun, relatable illustrations, to its easy to understand phrasing and the significance of the message of devotion from the reader to the listener. A must have for any child’s library and a wonderful gift, especially for a foster family, adoptive family or child celebrating a baptism or salvation.

The ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love that this adorable rhyming story about self-confidence speaks to the true worth of children, that they’re made in the image of God. The illustrations are cute and offer representation of many different types of children and families.

I've been a long-time fan of Emily Ley's books for adults, so I was excited to share her inspiring message and her new picture book with my kids. They loved it as much as I did.

This has a religious bent, which surprised me as I just picked up the book without knowing anything about it. So know that going in.

I really liked this one. I thought it had a heartwarming message that I could see parents loving to read with their children to help them realize how special they are just for being who they are. I enjoyed it.

You’re Always Enough is a book that speaks so much truth to kids, it’s a message that needs to be repeated. Love the illustrations that added to the theme of this book.

I instantly read this to my kids. When I finished reading my 7-year-old son asked, “Mommy, am I always enough for you?” It was so heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces and their excitement noticing all of the little details throughout the book.

Speaking of little details, I love the beautiful illustrations in this book as well as the diverse characters. As for the writing, the message is so sweet and important for our kiddos. Things are not always going to be easy and they will have struggles—we all do. Regardless, we will always love them. They are special and they are ENOUGH. I’ve dealt with anxiety all of my life, but didn’t realize that’s what it was until I was in my late teens (it’s just not something that was ever talked about to me). I see both of my kids have anxious moments and I think the message from this book with help them through those tough moments. When I see the anxiety creeping in, I will remind them, “…just focus deep inside your heart and gather all your strength. Remember you have what you need to get through anything.”

I’ve been following Emily Ley for a while now. I’ve loved her products as well as the books she’s written, so I was very excited when she announced she was giving a children’s book to the world. Boy, did she deliver.

Sweet and important message, somewhat clumsy execution. Unnecessarily wordy, inconsistent rhyming, and overall felt too fluffy. The Christian themes might be too subtle for parents wanting biblical messaging, and too overt for non-Christian families. But definitely not a bad book, and the illustrations are lovely and bright.
Enough does not mean perfect.
Enough's not what you do.
Enough means being who you are--
the way that God made you.
