Prior to that, this book might have been a 2-star book for me. I didn't grow close to any of the characters. I forgot their abilities, their names, their relationships. Actually I was about 80% of the way through the book and some character got mentioned and I didn't even remember reading about them sooner. They seemed important, but I was too bored to flip back and try to see who they were.
I guess I was expecting more since I just finished the Legend series and LOVED it. This is obviously a very different series and should not be compared... but this was just so dull and I couldn't help but to wonder how I could love Legend so much and just not care about this book at all. I didn't even dislike it, I just genuinely didn't care about it and it's forgettable for me.
